Online Encyclopedias Were The Original Google Search

I can’t think of anything that bridges the gap between Gen X and Millennials more than a digital version of an encyclopedia. Microsoft’s Encarta was an easier way to learn about anything in the world without having to go through a set of 12 real encyclopedias. In 1998, Google was launched, and Encarta died.
