You’ll Only Understand These Photos If You’re Torn Between Being A GenXer Or A Millennial
If you’re born between 1977-1985 and feel like you don’t fit into either the Generation X or the Millennial mold, then you’re not alone. Although it’s not exactly scientific, a new microgeneration has been labeled, called “Xennials.” Xennials are born on the cusp of Gen X (1965-1980) and Millennials (1981-1996). They have some of the cynicism of Gen X, but they experienced a tech-less childhood before “riding the digital wave” as they grew up.
This means that the microgeneration Xennials can hardly relate to all those pasts that say “you’ll only remember this if you’re a 90s kid.” Xennials care more about Cabbage Patch Kids than Pokémon. If you’re in your 30s but you hate avocado toast, then you might be a secret Xennial.
Jared Leto Will Always Be Jordan Catalano

One of the other names for Xennials is the “Catalano Generation.” This means that Xennials remember Jared Leto as Jordan Catalano in My So-Called Life rather than the singer in 30 Seconds To Mars or The Joker.
Similarly, Xennials will have learned about Winona Rider from The Heathers and not from Stranger Things.
