Family Sells Their ‘Ordinary’ House And People Go Inside To Find It Completely Covered In Purple
If you’re not a fan of bright colors, I’d look away now…
It’s not unusual for homeowners to paint the exterior of their homes in fun, bright colors while keeping the interior traditional. But what we’re about to look at does the exact opposite.
Nope, the image above is the NOT the house in question. This normal looking home (pictured below) in Middlesex, UK, is the one holding a giant secret inside.
And the only hint of what’s inside are some lilac flowers planted by the door. Do you see them?
Yes, those lilacs give us a very subtle clue as to what lurks beneath these walls! Prepare to have your eyesight obstructed by color in an extremely royal fashion.
So without further ado, let’s take a look inside…
Seeing a lot of purple? Well, keep scrolling cause it doesn’t get less extreme…
People were shocked when pictures of the interior were released to the public, with every room coated in purple.
Purple floors, purple walls, purple furniture; the owners are so obsessed with the royal color that they didn’t have space for any other shades in their home!
Purple has been notably associated with royalty since the time of the Roman emperors. It is still used by the British royal family and other royalty in Europe as a ceremonial color on special occasions.
In Europe and America, purple is the color most associated with vanity, extravagance, and individualism, hence why it’s so fitting for this lavish decor!
Among the seven major sins, it represents vanity. It is a color that is traditionally used to attract attention and boy does it do that well.
Garish or gorgeous? You decide. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
The estate agent said the interior has a “family-inspired design” that was maintained to the highest standard.
So how much does this home go for? The home was put up for sale at nearly $600,000 in US dollars!
Once we step outside to the back garden, once again, there are only subtle hints to indicate the interior design of this property.
The house boasts a beautiful garden with pristine landscaping and a paved terrace.
Once the internet saw the purple home, they couldn’t help but notice a similarity in color to the UK’s fave chocolate bar…
Rather similar right?! It’s believed by many that the home was inspired by the rich purple color of the Cadbury’s wrappers.
