Time Is Cruel: You Won’t Even Recognize These Famous Faces
It doesn’t matter if you’re rich and famous, you’ll still age. Although the wealthy are able to drop money on cosmetic procedures and such, it can’t stop the aging process, and in the cases shown in this slideshow, even makes it worse! Getting old is tough, especially when you’re in front of the camera throughout your life. These celebrities don’t look like they used to in their younger years.
The Aging Process Doesn’t Discriminate

These celebrities have endured the aging process just as all humans must, and the result is that many are not as attractive as they were in their heyday. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it’s worth remembering that many of these people still have successful careers despite the ravages of old age – looking older doesn’t kill your talent.
From Val Kilmer’s weight gain and disappearance from the big screen to Johnny Depp’s fall from grace (and bad teeth) — here are aging stars who are almost unrecognizable!
Sally Struthers, Smoking Hot

Photo: SGL Entertainment
Sally Struthers stole American hearts when she played Gloria Stivic, the daughter of Edith and Archie Bunker, in Norman Lear’s groundbreaking sitcom, All in the Family.
Struthers’ Gloria was known for her blonde pigtails and defiant attitude in dealing with her opinionated and overbearing father. From then on in, things were plain sailing for Sally as she became one of the best-loved talents in American TV. Here she is today and her transformation isn’t the most glaring you’re about to see.
Sally Struthers Now

Photo: Net Worths
We can’t expect every bombshell working in Hollywood to maintain their youthful appearance, especially if they choose to age like a normal person. Following her decreasing stardom, Struthers became a big-time advocate for the Christian Children’s Fund (now ChildFund) and works to help starving and needy children in developing nations.
Struthers has also been satirized twice in TV’s South Park in episodes about a starving child named “Starvin’ Marvin.” The joke revolves around Struthers’ overeating in contrast with her endeavors to help people who don’t have enough to eat, suggesting that she was hoarding food. Lara Flynn Boyle is up next and her change is appearance is sad and of her own making!
Lara Flynn Boyle Peaked

Photo: Rebloggy
Twin Peaks was simultaneously a cult classic and a major television hit of the late 80s and early 90s. David Lynch’s peculiar take on small-town life reeling from the circumstances surrounding the mysterious murder of Laura Palmer captured the imagination of the public around the world.
If there was a face of Twin Peaks, it was Lara Flynn Boyle, who starred in both seasons of the show’s short run as Donna Howard, Laura’s close friend who becomes obsessed with solving the murder. She didn’t, however, star in the movie sequel and refused a role in the new TV series which aired in 2017. Here’s Lara Flynn Boyle today with a brief explanation of what happened to her trademark looks.
Lara Flynn Boyle Now

Photo: Blogspot
Plastic surgeons have a lot to answer for with many of the people on our list. Lara Flynn Boyle is no longer the sexy TV actress of her youth. One plastic surgeon cruelly said of her transformation: “Her face looks like its melting. Now it’s deflated.”
It’s not difficult to understand how a young beauty might feel the pressure to maintain their looks with risky procedures from unscrupulous doctors as they age but it explains why her star faded after her brilliant Twin Peaks performance. The next guy on our list released one of the biggest rock albums of all time and now he’s a complete trainwreck.
Axl Rose Rocking Out

Photo: Rolling Stone
1987 was a golden year for hard rock music and its undisputed kings were Guns’n’Roses, fronted by the lithe and limber, controversial-but-not-just-for-wearing-bike-shorts-on stage, Axl Rose. The album, “Appetite for Destruction,” has sold more than 30 million copies globally and the follow-up “Use Your Illusion” sold another 35 million.
Back then, Rose was famous not only for having an incredible vocal range but for inciting riots and throwing liquor bottles at fans during live performances. All that hard partying led to what you’re about to see next…
Axl Rose Now

Photo: Consequence of Sound
If you’re not working all that often, it’s easy to start comfort eating. That’s apparently what happened to Axl Rose who has gone from the tight bodied youth of yesteryear to a possible replacement for Meatloaf.
On Twitter, he extols the virtues of Taco Bell. Apparently, his love of excess living turned into one Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunches too many. He’s on his way back though. In 2016 he took over the job of fronting for AC/DC on tour and Guns’n’Roses have reformed and are about to conduct a global tour too. Next, we HAVE to ask… What happened to Boy George. OMG!
Boy George and Culture Club

Photo: Mirror
Boy George was born George Alan O’Dowd, and he headed up one of the biggest pop sensations of the 1980s, Culture Club. Originally discovered by the Sex Pistol’s manager Malcolm McLaren, George stood out as a London club kid known for his eccentric style and wild behavior.
His androgynous and colorful approach to dressing and presentation made him immediately recognizable to legions of fans throughout the world. But there was a period of years where we don’t think a single fan would recognize him…
Boy George After Culture Club

Photo: Mirror
Unfortunately for Boy George, things didn’t go well for a long period after the band split up. As he later revealed in interviews, the break up of Culture Club was really the downfall of a romantic relationship between George and Jon Moss, the drummer for the band. George also developed an ever-growing heroin addiction and the tragic loss of their keyboard player from an overdose.
This culminated in his serving a substantial prison sentence for imprisoning and then violently assaulting a rent boy. Boy George served his time and is now making something of a comeback. He writes books, designs clothes, is an active photographer and still writes songs. He’s turned his life around and looks much healthier these days than he did in his rock-bottom years (shown in the photo above).
Bruce Jenner, Athletic Star

Photo: Eurosport
Bruce Jenner won the 1976 Olympic Gold Medal for the decathlon. He had begun his career as a college football star and was playing for the Graceland Yellowjackets before an injury put a halt to football.
He attended the Montreal Summer Olympics after being persuaded by Coach L D Weldon to try the decathlon instead of football. He set three world records on his path to gold and glory and was considered to be the “world’s greatest athlete.” From then on Jenner was a media darling as he attempted to capitalize on his Olympic fame. Most famously he appeared as the long-time spokesman for the iconic Wheaties brand of breakfast cereal.
Caitlyn Jenner Now

In his later years, Bruce Jenner was once again thrust into the spotlight as Kris Jenner’s husband on the reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It was during this time that Jenner was able to reveal to the world that he had been dealing with a secret for most of his life. He felt that he had been born in the wrong body but due to the prejudices of his time, he never told anyone.
In April 2015 that all changed. Bruce came forward and admitted that he was now a trans woman. In July 2015 Bruce became Caitlyn Jenner and she has become one of the best-known trans people on the face of the planet. It’s not the fountain of youth but you probably wouldn’t recognize him on the street if you didn’t know about his transition.
Rupert Everett, Bad Boy

Photo: Telegraph
Rupert Everett won a BAFTA award for his first ever role as Julian Mitchell in Another Country in 1984. He played an openly gay student in a 1930s English school. He had a reputation for playing bad boys and his smoldering good looks made him a shoo-in for parts in movies throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
Everett even tried (unsuccessfully) to turn his popularity in to a music career as a pop star with his album, Generation of Loneliness. But it was too late, the public saw him only as an amazing actor and were not interested in his musical endeavors.
Rupert Everett Now

Photo: Telegraph
There’s nothing wrong with the way Rupert looks now but he’s nearly unrecognizable from the fresh-faced boy that once graced the silver screen. Recently he has appeared in Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and before that in the Shrek movies and the Chronicles of Narnia.
Aside from being outspoken on a number of political and social issues, such as decriminalizing prostitution and same-sex marriage, he has also taken up writing and had two memoirs and a screenplay published. Clearly, there has always been more than just what lurks on the surface for this modern Renaissance man.
Mark Hamill, a Young Skywalker

Photo: Lucasfilm
The original Star Wars trilogy was a cultural phenomenon that has inspired generations of filmmakers, and the lead actor was Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker. Mark’s success in Star Wars wasn’t necessarily a good thing for his career. As one producer bluntly told him, “I don’t want Luke Skywalker in my film.”
The role was simply too iconic for Mark to be cast easily in other movies and he ended up doing mainly voiceover work over the coming decades. You may have heard him as Batman’s evil nemesis the Joker in many of the animated versions of the comic from the past few decades.
Mark Hamill Now

Photo: The Lake
Who cares what you look like when your only work is off screen? Mark Hamill let things slide for a long while because why bother when no-one will see you? And the car crash he endured following the first Star Wars movie might not have helped things. Those are real scars from the wreck you can see in the sequel, The Empire Strikes Back.
As Star Wars re-emerged for a sequel trilogy and Mark Hamill was asked to reprise the role of Luke Skywalker, Hamill was told to hit the gym and recover some of his former good-looking glory. It worked and if you recently saw him in the newest Star Wars movie you were probably impressed by his rebound.
Geena Davis Doubly Desirable

Photo: Photobucket
Geena Davis was a smoking hot property in the 1980s. It seemed like she could do no wrong when Beetlejuice and then Thelma and Louise propelled her to box-office superstardom. For a while, in the 90s you could not turn around in a grocery store without seeing Davis and her ex-husband Jeff Goldblum on tabloid covers.
However, the flop Cutthroat Island directed by Renny Harlin was a disaster. The movie was specially designed to be a vehicle to cement Geena’s career. It turned out to be a disaster that nearly sunk her.
Geena Davis Now

Photo: Gazette Review
Geena’s still looking good these days, but it would be hard to deny the years have been super kind to her, unlike most 60-year-olds. Pictured here, the famous actress is fronting for the Women’s Sports Foundation’s campaign for equality in sports for females.
While there’s still a bit of acting in her life, most of Geena’s time is now spent in activism. She’s set up her own institute to examine gender roles in the media, too. Fun Fact: Davis nearly made the 1999 women’s Olympic archery team as one of 300 finalists. Maybe she could play an aging Katniss Everdeen when Disney buys the rights to the Hunger Games?
Catherine Bach as a Duke

Photo: Dukes of Hazzard Wikia
There may be no bigger sex symbol of the 1980s than Catherine Bach playing the role of Daisy Duke in Dukes of Hazzard. She was famed for wearing denim hot pants and looking alluring throughout the series in which she proved a foil for the Duke brothers in their ongoing feud with Boss Hogg.
During the height of her fame, her legs alone were rumored to be insured for $1 million dollars. Imagine the pressure. You could be sued if you cut yourself shaving! Her character’s role was reprised for a movie but it was Jessica Simpson who would take on the role of Daisy. Wait until you see what she looks like today.
Catherine Bach Now

Photo: Jay Dean
After Dukes of Hazzard, things went downhill for Catherine Bach’s acting career. It’s possible that the role had left her typecast and prevented other shows and movies from taking up her contract.
She has appeared only in low-profile roles ever since. Though she has also launched her own range of jewelry with the Debenhams group of stores in the UK. Her ex-husband, Peter Lopez, shot himself in April 2010, in what appeared to be a suicide. The next socialite on our list is an absolute trainwreck.
Jocelyn Wildenstein, Socialite

Jocelyn Wildenstein was a seriously attractive young woman and a New York City socialite at the top of her game. She was a jet-setting young woman who traveled the world, along the way becoming an expert marksman and pilot.
She’s also well known for her ability to spend money like it was water. She spent over $60,000 a year in personal telephone calls at one point and her wine bill has reached more than half a million dollars annually! Adnan Khashoggi the Saudi Arms dealer introduced her to her future husband Alec Wildenstein, a wealthy art dealer with an aristocratic background. You’re going to be frightened by her look today…
Jocelyn Wildenstein Now

Photo: Sick Chirpse
It’s immediately clear that Jocelyn Wildenstein turned to the knife of a plastic surgeon to keep her youthful looks and it failed miserably. She became addicted to plastic surgery and slowly but surely she transformed from an attractive young woman into something more like Frankenstein’s monster. Also known in the New York social scene as “Catwoman,” She could be the poster girl for why plastic surgery isn’t always a good idea.
According to an interview in Vanity Fair she has revealed that she believes the lynx to have perfect eyes. Friends say this look is her ultimate cosmetic goal/obsession as she also has one of the wild cats as a pet.
Cybill Shepherd Moonlighting

Photo: Rolling Stone
Cybill Shepherd’s role in Taxi Driver opposite Robert DeNiro is probably what brought her to the public eye but what cemented that relationship was her role in TV’s Moonlighting in the 1980s as Maddie Hayes. In the role, she operated a failing detective agency and Bruce Willis was the reluctant detective brought in to turn it around. The couple’s on-screen chemistry was legendary and the series ran for four years as something of a global hit.
Interesting fact: Shepherd Bruce Willis considered having an affair while they worked together, but decided not to in order to avoid bringing any extra drama that could potentially affect the show. She still looks pretty stunning today but we wouldn’t recognize her on the street.
Cybill Shepherd Now

Photo: Woman’s Day
Nothing lasts forever and while Shepherd is still attractive for her age, the days of playing the lead role based on sex appeal are behind her. She’s still acting, though, and has starred on The L Word and Psych as well as in Criminal Minds and The Client List.
Her most recent role was in Do You Believe? in 2015, which was a heavily Christian influenced production. Her character was a mother mourning the loss of her daughter. In real life, Shepherd has three children. One of them is the actress and L Word co-star Clementine Ford. Let’s take a look at her co-star just for fun.
Bruce Willis, Macho Man

Photo: BT
Cybill Shepherd’s Moonlighting co-star, Bruce Willis, began his career in off-Broadway stage shows. However, he’s best known for his role as John McClane – the cop turned vigilante – in the Die Hard series of movies. He also starred in many other films including The Sixth Sense, Sin City, Color of Night, Pulp Fiction, Looper, and 12 Monkeys.
Willis’ career has been incredibly productive and he’s starred in more than 60 movies as well as many TV shows. He married Demi Moore in 1987 but they would divorce in 2000. We actually think he looks sexier without all that troublesome hair…
Bruce Willis Now

Photo: Variety
Bruce’s career certainly hasn’t had any kind of slowdown. He returned to the stage to appear in a performance of Stephen King’s Misery in 2015. Before that, he was the star of 2013’s Good Day to Die Hard. The film is notable as a critical and commercial flop but real fans just don’t care.
He has also been vocal in his support of the U.S. military in Iraq and Israel in recent years. Willis is married to a model named Emma Heming, and they have two children together. In 2010, he was the eighth highest-grossing actor in North America. Not too shabby.
Kelly Le Brock Shocking Science

Photo: Famous Fix
Kelly Le Brock hit the big time from her first moment on screen. She starred opposite comedy/acting legend Gene Wilder in The Woman in Red. It wasn’t surprising that the daughter of a model would herself be a natural in front of the camera!
She then moved on to feature in Weird Science a smash hit teen comedy in 1985. She starred as the fantasy woman created by two teens in a science experiment. Her character, despite the underlying sexism of the movie’s theme, was a strong woman who through a series of hard lessons turns the boys into men.
Kelly Le Brock Now

Photo: Le Bleau
Kelly’s life has been full of ups and downs and her best years on the screen seem to be well behind her. She married the star Steven Seagal but their marriage came to a close in 1996 after having three children together.
Since then she’s been involved in the homeopathic movement and became one of the first people in the United States to own a hyperbaric chamber, which treats a wide variety of ailments including infections and air bubbles in the bloodstream. Today, most of LeBrock’s efforts are as the spokesperson for a children’s cancer charity.
Chuck Norris Is No Joke

Photo: Vintage Ninja
Chuck Norris’ fame as a martial arts star has seen him immortalized in an endless series of jokes regarding how tough he is. These memes include such classics as “Chuck Norris will never have a heart attack. His heart isn’t nearly foolish enough to attack him.”
When he was young, he was also a considerable heartthrob and won a serious following for his good looks (as well as for his acting and martial arts skills). One of his most famous roles was the leading character in Walker, Texas Ranger. He also starred alongside Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon.
Chuck Norris Now

Photo: ABC News
The legendary Chuck Norris hasn’t so much aged as he has hardened. His acting career is still going on and he’s appeared recently in The Expendables series of movies. He’s also a devout Christian who has penned several tomes on Christianity.
Chuck’s a Republican too and has campaigned for Mike Huckabee as the presidential nominee and spends a lot of his time (and money) working on Republican causes.
Whoopi Goldberg, No Ghost

Photo: BFI
It might be safe to say that Whoopi Goldberg’s never really been a sex symbol. She’s famous for her incredible acting and boisterous personality more than her looks. She’s been nominated for 13 Emmys and has won at least one Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award to make her a bonafide EGOT winner.
Her role in The Color Purple about an abused black woman in the Deep South in 1985 brought her critical acclaim. But it was her role in 1990s Ghost that really firmed up her place in the public eye. She went on to star in many, many hit movies and TV shows like Sister Act, Hollywood Squares, and The View.
Whoopi Goldberg Now

Photo: PBS
Whoopi’s surely gained a few pounds since the Ghost days. Much of this has been attributed, in the media, to her fondness for a joint or two which can occasionally lead to the munchies. Plus, old age can quickly pack on the pounds if you’re not careful.
While Whoopi still acts on occasion much of her current life is based in LGBT activism. Her “Give a Damn” campaign tries to persuade all members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities to come together with straight people and live equal and fair lives. That’s amazing. Thanks for all you do, Whoopi! And what about singer Wayne Newton…
Wayne Newton, Heartthrob

Photo: San Francisco Chronicle
Singer Wayne Newton has been one of the best-known entertainers to come from Las Vegas, Nevada for decades. In his youth, he was a hot property and songs like “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast” and “Years” where massive hits on the Billboard Top 100. Perhaps his most famous song of all is “Danke Schoen,” which played a prominent role in the iconic 1980s film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Wayne Newton had the support of most of the top-name entertainers of the 70s in his career including Lucille Ball, George Burns, Bobby Darin, Jack Benny and Danny Thomas. You won’t recognize him in the 2010’s…

Things haven’t been brilliant in Wayne Newton’s private life and in addition to his ever-expanding waistline, his finances have become a complete mess. He spent much of the 2000s in court being sued for various forms of financial mismanagement and it all came to a head in 2012 when he declared bankruptcy.
The worst part, from Wayne’s perspective, is now over and he’s back to living in his old house after reaching a settlement with his creditors. We’ll continue cheering him on for his involvement in various charitable causes…
Linda Evans’ Sex Appeal

Photo: She Was a Bird
Linda Evans’ career began playing Audra Barkley in the Western TV show, The Big Valley. However, that’s not what she’s really famous for. Her fame was brought about by her role as Krystle Carrington in the smash hit super soap of the 1980s, Dynasty.
She played Krystle for nearly eight years and the show was watched by more than 20 million Americans and massive audiences globally. Linda Evans was nominated for the Golden Globes in five consecutive years for her role. You won’t recognize her today!
Linda Evans now

Photo: Fox News
Here, those pesky plastic surgeons are back breaking hearts again. When will their patients ever learn to avoid the knife and age gracefully (and naturally)? Linda Evans was featured in Playboy in 1971 for her breathtaking good looks. So it was only natural that when those looks began to fade that Linda sought a quick-fix remedy.
She hired a medical professional. Unfortunately, as with all cosmetic surgery, there’s a risk that things won’t quite turn out the way people hope they will. And they didn’t for Linda. She’s appeared on TV several times to candidly discuss the shockingly bad surgery she received.
John Travolta, Saturday Night Fever

Photo: Cloud Pix
John Travolta got his start on the iconic television series Welcome Back, Kotter. But Travolta’s career owes much to the smash successes of Saturday Night Fever and Grease in the 1970s. He was young, attractive and could dance like no one else. His posters graced the bedroom walls of millions of teenage girls. It seemed he had it made.
Then his acting career took a substantial hit in the 1980s where it seemed he just couldn’t land a starring role and when he did – the films sunk without a trace. Luckily, the roles picked back up for Travolta.
John Travolta Now

Photo: The Times
Some say that this guy has gone from heartthrob to a large hunk of love. Despite John’s career being resurrected in the 1990s thanks particularly to his role in 1994s Pulp Fiction — things have gone a little badly for him in the looks department. As happens to all of us, he’s appeared to gain some weight and lose some hair.
Proving that equality cuts both ways, John has been roundly criticized for his appearance in the national media. He’s also been trying to prove that he didn’t have a sexual relationship with his former pilot, Douglas Gotterba. Wait until you see Goldie Hawn’s transformation…
Goldie Hawn, Private Benjamin

Photo: Good Housekeeping
In her first major role in Cactus Flower in 1969, Goldie Hawn won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. It was a serious role as Walter Matthau’s suicidal fiance. She’s best known, however, for her comedic performances and perhaps her best-loved role is that of the eponymous Private Benjamin for which she also won an Academy Award.
Hawn parlayed her good looks and natural blonde into a career that has spanned several decades. Hawn’s other film credits include Butterflies Are Free, Housesitter, Shampoo, Death Becomes Her, and First Wives Club. She’s been married to fellow actor Kurt Russell since 1983. Check out this unrecognizable pick of the actress…
Goldie Hawn Now

Let’s be fair about this – Goldie Hawn is now in her 70s and it’s pretty hard for anybody to be a total fox in their 70s. She’s still with Kurt Russell who she’s been in a relationship with since 1983. Hawn’s famous and gorgeous daughter Kate Hudson closely resembles her mom. The younger blonde starlet will surely look to her mother for advice as she begins to age!
Most of her time is now spent running the Hawn Foundation which focuses on academic performance improvement for youth. Much of the foundation’s work is focused on scientific study to demonstrate improved academic learning strategies. You know who has taken a turn for the worst? Edward Furlong…
Edward Furlong’s Brooding Good Looks

Photo: The Sun
Edward Furlong’s star shone brightly from the start. He won Teen Idol and then starred as John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. His role as a skinhead in American History X was praised for its honesty and condemned for its frightening brutality. Over the years, Furlong also had roles in Pet Sematary Two, American Heart, Detroit Rock City, The Green Hornet, and A Home of Our Own.
His acting career continued through the 90s with mixed success (including another Terminator movie) and he even recorded an album, Hold on Tight, though it was only released in Japan.

Edward’s life spun completely out of control after a while away from the Hollywood spotlight. His career began to fall to pieces in the wake of serious drug and alcohol problems that grew increasingly worse.
Edward finally ended up in rehab in October 2000. He said of the ordeal: “I was a heroin and cocaine addict. It was really scary. I don’t even think about [partying] anymore. It seems lonely now: running and clubbing and doing coke. I have nightmares about doing hard drugs.” Ouch.
Jackie Stallone, Mother of Rocky

Photo: Mashable
It’s fair to say that Jackie Stallone, pictured on the left here, has never been a beauty queen. She’s famous, of course, for being the mother of Sylvester Stallone and the wife of Frank Stallone, the singer.
However, her personality propelled public interest far beyond the norm for a celebrity parent and she has made extensive appearances on the TV interview circuit. She also appeared in the UK’s Celebrity Big Brother in 2005. Her looks only got worse in later years…
Jackie Stallone Now

Photo: Love Celebs
The plastic surgeons did it again! Jackie is no spring chicken at the age of 91 and we can’t blame her for trying to recapture a little of her youth but we think that somebody should have put a stop to this surgery before it began.
Poor Jackie’s face looks like someone has been experimenting with blowing air under her skin. She admits her operation was “botched.” Her poor lips look like overinflated tires which isnever a sexy or youthful look. Our next surprisingly transformation involves a supermodel who didn’t age gracefully.
Janice Dickinson, Top Model

Photo: Mirror
Janice Dickinson was possibly the first supermodel, though there are other worthy contenders to that claim. But Dickinson has even published a memoir, No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World’s First Supermodel, that backs up her claims. What is absolutely certain is that she was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful women of her generation.
She was a global hit as a model during the 1970s and 1980s. She would go on to sit on America’s Top Model on television in 2003 because who could give better advice to aspiring models than Janice Dickinson? Wait until you see her today!
Janice Dickinson Now

Photo: Celeb Plastic Surgery
Despite running her own modeling agency and her TV work, Janice still must have been mourning her youth persona because she went under the knife with horrible results. The surgery was so bad that she’s barely recognizable as the woman she once was.
Dickinson went so far as to appears on the TV series Botched! where the show’s experts attempted to repair the extensive damage to her looks. Dickinson was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2016. It hasn’t been an easy few years for this former supermodel.
Johnny Depp, 90’s Heartthrob

Photo: The Vintage
Johnny Depp’s first role on screen was in Oliver Stone’s Platoon but it was a minor supporting part. His big break came with the release of Edward Scissorhands which is often considered a dark romance. His youthful good looks combined with the success of his first lead role ensured that there would be plenty of parts to follow.
His career trajectory has been nothing but positive and he is one of the world’s biggest stars. Depp has dated some of the most well-known names in the business, including Stranger Things’ Winona Ryder and supermodel Kate Moss. Here is his looking very “Johnny Depp” in recent years…
Johnny Depp Now

Photo: The Superficial
He’s a massive star but there’s nothing anyone can do to stop the toll of aging and partying on their face. Depp’s demand is based on his box office success and acting talents more than his face nowadays.
These days, Depp might just be as well-known for his legal problems as his once-gorgeous face. His recent, and very public split, from actress Amber Heard, was shocking to the former heartthrob’s fans.
Elsa Patton, Mama Elsa

Photo: Bravo TV
“Mama Elsa” Patton caught the world’s attention as a star of The Real Housewives of Miami. Her contribution was so popular that she even won a spin-off series in the form of Havana Elsa which was released by the Bravo network between series of The Real Housewives of Miami.
Sadly, the spin-off was canceled when “Mama Elsa” fell and injured herself. Supposedly, she suffered a brain injury during a fall that took place in her home. It is quite clear to see from this photo that Mama Elsa was once an incredibly attractive woman. Let’s see what she looks like now…
Elsa Patton Now

Photo: Damn Cool Pictures
Yup, it’s those plastic surgeons again. Patton’s daughter, Marysol, says that when her mother had her eyelids done in the 1980s it “gave her hematomas on her eyes for like three years.” That’s a terrible price to pay for cosmetic surgery.
Marysol states that her mother became almost unrecognizable during that time and following her subsequent surgeries. Although, she doesn’t recall Elsa specifically having a facelift during that time.
Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart’s Heyday

Photo: Hello
Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, otherwise known as the 18th Duchess of Alba, may well be the richest entrant on the list. She was a billionaire and is famed for spending as much on her wedding as the Queen of England spent on her royal nuptials.
She was also an attractive woman and throughout her life, she was famed for her affairs and romantic associations with numerous men. She also held the distinction of being the most titled aristocrat in the world with more than 40 titles. In 2011, she was added to Vanity Fair‘s International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. Then it got bad for her…
Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart Now

This is perhaps unkind, but towards the end of her life Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart was still churning through the men (at least according to the Spanish scandals sheets), but we suspect they may have been interested in something other than her good looks by that time.
Her final lover (they were married from 2011 until her death) didn’t receive a penny in her will although he was under the impression he was going to make out like a bandit. What about Suzanne Somers?
Suzanne Somers, Sex Siren

Photo: Christmas44
Suzanne Somers became popular for her role as Chrissy Snow in Three’s Company, an American TV show based on a British show Man About the House. Strangely, the American version lasted eight seasons and the British one only six. She co-starred on the show with Joyce DeWitt and Jack Ritter, and the show is still a fan favorite to this day.
She then played the role of Carol Lambert in Step-by-Step which confirmed her status as one of America’s favorite sitcom actresses and her sultry good looks certainly didn’t hurt with that. Step-by-Step ran until 1998.
Suzanne Somers Now

Fast forward to today and Suzanne Somers is still looking good, possibly too good for a woman who is now 70 years old. She denies having plastic surgery but it seems nearly impossible that there has not been at least a little work done.
Somers is a firm advocate of holistic and alternative medicine and it’s possible that she’s stumbled upon the fountain of youth while researching one of her books on the subject. Somers is a two-time cancer survivor and after her first grueling round of treatments, she decided to go the holistic route. Up next is a former Baywatch beauty who we guarantee you won’t recognize today.
Nicole Eggert From Baywatch

Nicole Eggert’s beauty was obviously something special from an early age as she won a place in the Miss Universe petite division at the age of five. However, it is her role of Summer Quinn in the lifeguard drama Baywatch which brought her adult beauty to the attention of the viewing public.
She was also supposed to appear in a Baywatch spin-off series but the series was canceled before it went into production. Before Nicole’s Baywatch fame, she was wildly popular as Jamie Powell on the hit sitcom Charles In Charge, alongside teen star Scott Baio. Today she looks shockingly different…

Once Baywatch had finished Nicole’s star began to fade along with her looks. She’s appeared in a lot of reality television over the last decade and even came second on Splash, a show about celebrity diving. She was said to have been injured during the production of the show but she denies that claim.
Today, Nicole does something very unusual for a former celebrity – she is the owner and operator of an ice-cream truck. Her company is called Scoops, and she actually drives the truck! Nicole says it’s a family-run business. Now let’s examine the unrecognizable rap star Lil’ Kim…
Lil’ Kim, Rapper/Songwriter

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lil’ Kim (born Kimberly Denise Jones) started rapping when she was still in her teens. She got her big start in 1995 when she hooked up with the late Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace) and his group Junior M.A.F.I.A. Kim and Biggie became a couple and dated on-again-off-again until his 1997 murder.
Lil’ Kim’s debut album, “Hard Core,” came out in 1996. It had three #1 hits and the album went double platinum. Her next two albums went platinum as well, making Kim a legit superstar. Today she is hard to recognize…
Kim’s Shocking New Appearance

The Notorious B.I.G. wrote a song called Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems: “It’s like the more money we come across, the more problems we see.” That line seems to have held true for Kim as she was catapulted into successes and the inevitable pitfalls that come along with it.
She’s experienced several legal and financial issues in the years since making her debut as a rapper. One of the most shocking changes to Kim is the outrageous plastic surgeries she has subjected her face to over the years. She’s barely recognizable as the Lil’ Kim we all fell in love with back in the 1990s. Our next famous person is a famed designer whose materialistic beauty outweighs her own personal beauty…
Donatella Versace, Fashion Designer

Italian fashion icon Donatella Versace is the head designer and Vice President of the Versace Group. Known for her trademark long blonde hair and heavily tanned skin, Donatella has a unique sense of style that has brought her tremendous success and fame in the fashion industry.
Versace clothing is revered by A-list stars such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Blake Lively, Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry, Cheryl Cole, January Jones, and many more. In this throwback photo, Donatella is pictured with her brother, the late fashion designer Gianni Versace, at a party in the early 1990s. You’re going to lose your mind over her look today…
Donatella, Barely Recognizable

Since the previous photo was taken, Donatella Versace has had many plastic surgeries, and some say she’s gone too far with them. Some unkind commenters have nicknamed her a “human waxwork.” According to some top plastic surgeons who have studied photos of her new look, she appears to have undergone a botched facelift along with heavy lip injections.
Versace’s blonde eyebrows certainly aren’t helping the overall effect. She’s never seemed to embrace the natural look, however, so perhaps she’s happy with the outcome. In the past, she’s admitted to using Botox but generally credits “tonnes of cream” for the appearance of her skin and hair.
Val Kilmer, Hot Stuff

Val Kilmer started out on the stage and then moved into acting. His first screen role was in an ABC Afterschool Special starring opposite a young Michelle Pfeiffer back in 1983.
He would go on to star opposite Tom Cruise in Top Gun by the end of the decade and by the mid-1990s, Val Kilmer was considered to be seriously hot property. He famously beat out 1980s pop icon Michael Hutchence of INXS to play Jim Morrison of The Doors in Oliver Stone’s blockbuster movie about the band. His role in Heat with De Niro and Pacino is often considered to be his finest.

The years certainly haven’t been kind to Val’s waistline and he’s packed on the pounds and as he’s become larger – he’s disappeared from the big and small screens. After years of increasing weight, he shocked fans with a dramatic turnaround, claiming on Twitter to be back down to 165 pounds.
However, that doesn’t mean that Val’s career is over. In fact, he’s been performing Citizen Twain which is a play of his own creation and stars only him. He even won a Grammy Award for his spoken word work in 2012. Rumors about a sequel to Top Gun could also be an inspiration for getting back into shape.
Mickey Rourke, Superstar

Mickey Rourke began his career in comedy in the movie Diner in 1982. While that didn’t exactly break new ground it was1986’s 9½Weeks and 1987’s Angel Heart which showed his acting talent and his willingness to tackle taboo subject matter in his roles brought him to the forefront of stardom. While tame by today’s standards, these films both propelled him as a sex symbol along with his costars, Kim Basinger and Lisa Bonet.
In 1991, however, Rourke decided that he’d had enough of acting and quit the silver screen for the boxing ring. He’d trained as a boxer when he was younger. His boxing career lasted three years. The years haven’t been kind to Mickey Rourke as you’re about to discover.

Rourke picked up a few minor acting roles in the 90s when he returned to acting from the boxing ring. Although his face was badly damaged from his time on the fight scene, his talent allowed him to work steadily, often portraying misfits and misunderstood tough guys.
Yet, it wasn’t until 2005’s Sin City that Rourke had another significant starring role. It was his performance in 2009’s The Wrestler that would lead to a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and an Oscar nomination. Our next stunning star was an 80’s wonder but is completely unrecognizable in the 2010’s.
Kathleen Turner, Eighties Wonder

In the 1980s it was hard to go to the movies and not see Kathleen Turner. She had a hugely successful stint as the lead in movies such as Body Heat, Romancing the Stone, Prizzi’s Honor, The War of the Roses, and Peggy Sue Got Married. Her smoldering good looks and sultry voice made her the perfect choice when Hollywood was looking to fill the role of femme fatale.
She won the Golden Globe for Best Actress and was nominated for the Academy Award during that decade. She also did the voice over for Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Kathleen Turner’s transformation from sex siren into an ordinary person was beyond her control. In the 1990s she developed rheumatoid arthritis, a disease which gave her unbearable, crippling pain and threatened to leave her in a wheelchair. The medication prescribed for her treatment caused a general weight gain and bloating. In addition, she turned to the bottle to battle her discomfort and it compounded the damage on her good looks.
Luckily, her arthritis has gone into remission in recent years and she has appeared in a number of guest roles, including appearances on Friends, Nip/Tuck, and Californication.
Courteney Cox, ‘Friends’ Sweetheart

After appearing in Bruce Springsteen “Dancing in the Dark” music video, Courteney Cox went on to become a huge star. The world grew to love her as Monica Gellar on the megahit television series Friends. She remained close friends with co-star Jennifer Aniston, and the two are frequently spotted out and about together all these years later.
Cox later starred in the series Cougartown and Dirt, as well as in the Scream film franchise. She was married to fellow actor David Arquette from 1999 until their divorce in 2013. The two have a daughter named Coco. Cox’s look has certainly changed over the years…
Not Such A ‘Friendly’ Look These Days

Courteney Cox recently appeared on an episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, and she got pretty candid about the plastic surgeries she’s had in an effort to retain a youthful appearance.
She admitted that she’s taken things too far, saying “I have done things that I regret, and luckily they’re things that dissolve and go away. So, um, that’s good, because it’s not always been my best look. So, now I just have a new motto: ‘Just let it be’.” Grylls advised her to avoid any further cosmetic procedures, telling the star that her natural look is beautiful.
Joan Van Ark, Actress

American actress Joan Van Ark is most famous for her role of Valene Ewing on the long-running series Dallas. She then continued the role through Dallas’ spin-off show, Knot’s Landing, for 13 seasons. Van Ark appeared in many other shows including Love Boat, The Six Million Dollar Man, Bonanza, and M*A*S*H.
Her work as Valene Ewing brought her the Soap Opera Digest Award two times. Later, she returned to Dallas for its 2013 reboot. More recently she did voice work for the animated series Archer, and has also appeared as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race. What happened next didn’t help her looks in any way…
“Knot” A Very Natural Look On Joan

In recent appearances, fans have been shocked by Van Ark’s barely-recognizable face. Granted, she is in her 70s now, but it’s painfully clear that she’s had a lot of work done to her once-beautiful face.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, who has not treated the star, gave his opinion of Van Ark’s appearance in an interview with National Enquirer: “I suspect she’s had at least one facelift, if not two, causing her neckline and jawline to look tight. Her forehead is smooth and wrinkle-free, a possible consequence of a brow lift and Botox.”
