While we did learn earlier that Parton thought the country’s politics was crazy during the time before the election, we don’t actually know who she ended up voting for. Her silence during the exchange at the Emmy’s was noted by many, who suspected that she might have voted for Trump.

After Fonda’s and Tomlin’s lines of resistance on stage, Parton added that they weren’t referring to politics, but in fact, still talking about Dabney Coleman, who was their co-star in 9 to 5. Although no one could say for sure if Parton was supposed to say that or not, you could see how uncomfortable all three ladies were when they didn’t seem to be on the same page.
