In 2016 at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, UK a horrific roller coaster accident occurred that left many passengers with terrible injuries. It’s reported that the roller coaster crash is the equivalent of a car crashing at 90 mph. Winds were blowing 46 mph, and after a test run that alerted a security notice, ride operators chose to override the warning and send the park visitors on the next train. The roller coaster ended up crashing, severely injuring five passengers, including two who each lost a leg. The passengers were also left suspended upside down for hours before rescue workers could get to them.
