Child Killed By Roller Coaster in Utah
In a tragic accident, a six-year-old boy was killed at Farmington amusement park in Utah. He was riding the children’s roller coaster, and after a few laps, it came to a stop. The boy, Ryan Beckstead, began to step out of the cart when the ride’s operator (an eighteen-year-old who was on the job for the first time that weekend) asked the kids if they wanted to go around again, and hit the button. The boy tried to get back in the cart but was thrown out and hit by the coaster as it came back around. Ryan’s father saw him fall and ran to grab him, but it was too late.
