Jessica admitted that under the stress from her first marriage failure and right at the time she met Jep Robertson, she was struggling with an eating disorder. “I think a lot of girls struggle with that. I wouldn’t eat anything with fat in it. I would go as far as getting powdered skim milk because it had fat in it,” she said. Her calorie restriction ended up becoming extremely severe and she also pushed herself to work out at an increasingly dangerous pace. Ultimately, Jessica credits her relationship with Jep and turning to religion as her saving grace in life.
