Imagine coming home to find a note from your delivery guy.

A note which apologized for backing up onto your pet and being told ‘he’s dead’.

It’s heartbreaking to think about, but unfortunately for this Washington woman, it was a harsh reality.

Cynthia Wakelin wasn’t home when a UPS driver showed up to deliver a package.

After trying to deliver the package, the driver went to drive away.

That’s when he, apparently, ran over Cynthia’s 14-year-old dog.

The driver wrote a short note to her on a “missed package” slip- how kind.

“Sorry, but I backed over Tobey [sic]. He’s dead over by where I turn around,” the note read. “I didn’t see him behind me. Sorry.”

Cynthia lives in a remote location so her two dogs could roam the property freely.

She was left heartbroken by the loss of her dog.
