Back in 1912, a little boy named Bobby Dunbar disappeared while on a family trip with his parents.
It became the center of a lot of controversy and speculation in the media and law enforcement for months.
However, eight months later, they received some good news.
The police arrived at Bobby’s parent’s home and told them that they had found their son.
William Cantwell Walters is believed to be the man who picked up the young boy.
He insisted that the boy was not Bobby.
According to William, they were mistaking for Bobby was actually the son of a friend. The boy’s name was Bruce Anderson, and he was the son of Julia Anderson.
When the Dunbars first saw the boy they were sure it was him.
They took him in and went on with their regular live.
But for years, Julia Anderson claimed that the little boy the Dunbars had taken into their home was her son.
These claims were largely ignored.
