Home Alone is a true classic family film that’s shown every Christmas.
For many families, it’s become a tradition to watch this at Christmas.
It’s filled with broad slapstick, larger-than-life booby traps, and an ultimately touching Christmas message. What more could you ask for?
When I first watched the film as a child I use to think I’d love to be in that situation, home alone.
But as an adult now all I think is: ‘I’d love to own a home like that’.
Well, the infamous Home Alone house is real!
It’s located at 671 Lincoln Avenue in the village of Winnetka, Illinois.
It’s a three-story 1920’s house. It’s changed hands a few times since the filming of Home Alone.
Honestly, the interior is unrecognizable!
The difference between the home in the film and the home in real life is sort of heartbreaking.
