Our bodies are truly remarkable.
From its intricacies and multiple complexities. It’s full of wonderous things we’re still trying to understand.
Like the intricate structure of our eyes, to the incredible strength of our hair.
The human body is full of hidden features that make a compelling argument for intelligent design.
And it’s all thanks to the gradual process of evolution.
Here are a few remarkable body quirks you probably don’t have.
1. A rare muscle in our wrists helped our ancestors to climb trees
If you place your hand palm-up on a flat surface, and touch your thumb and little finger. If a tendon pops out on your wrist, then congratulations!
You’re one of the few people who possess the palmaris longus, or long palmar muscle. This muscle helped our ancestors climb trees many millennia ago.
2. Tetrachromatics can see way more colours than we can
Usually, the human eye can recognize one million different colors.
But a mutation in the X-chromosome, can give some people a fourth type of cone cell in their eyes.
This allows them to see more colors than anyone else.
These people are known as “tetrachromats”.
